How to Get Rid of Gas when Switching to a Raw Diet

A common problem that appears when switching to a raw diet is the appearance of gas and bloating.

In this lesson, we will find out why gas appears and what the solution is.

The human intestines, together the small and large intestines, are about 15ft / 7m long, and if we add their curvy structure, we get a clear picture of how easily, or with difficulty, some matter can pass through that tunnel.

Oops … looks like we have gotten stuck in the middle of this slide. 😰

End of story, don’t worry kids it was all just an ugly dream, breathe freely because you’re not stuck in a slide. 😌

But … maybe that’s exactly how something gets stuck in the intestines of many people. And then that something, which many people call food, stays there to rot, to spoil, and over time it turns into a hard mass.

Proteins in a given substance rot, fats go rancid, and sugars ferment. All this leads to the creation of toxins that can potentially pass through the intestinal wall into the bloodstream.

Things to be worse, if now we add some water rich food on top of this mass, this food won’t be able to pass easily, just creating more gas.Β 

However, not everything is so black! The appearance of gas and bloating is typically only at the beginning of a raw diet, as the intestines clear over time, so water rich food passes easily.

How do you clean the intestines?

The inside of the body is sacred, covered with a very delicate mucous membrane and woven out of smooth muscles of the internal organs, so it is NOT WISE to play a chimney sweeper or a plumber because such processes can only lead to injuries. πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

The most intelligent approach is always: LEAVE THE BODY INTELLIGENTLY ALONE πŸ’β€β™€οΈ

Let’s remember a golden rule:

✨ Those very conditions that are necessary for maintaining health are the SAME CONDITIONS that are necessary for the restoration of health. If necessary and according to specific case, one only needs to intelligently regulate the quantities of the given conditions. ✨

Hydrating the body – the right way to provide the intestines with ideal conditions to CLEANS THEMSELVES at their own pace and without pressure, and this is easily achieved through the following steps:

  • Start your day with EXERCISING, so that the intestines are stimulated to do peristalsis, and the body seeks WATER.

  • After exercising get hydrated by slowly, in sips – to ensure that the ingested liquid slowly soaks the mass in the intestines – and on a straw – to protect the tooth enamel – drink lemonade made with slightly warmed water.

  • Postpone the first meal until you really feel hungry. Here I would be free to add the following: most people today in the western world DO NOT EVEN KNOW WHAT it means to feel hunger and when they say they are hungry, they are actually saying
    I am threatened by an unfamiliar feeling of lightness in my stomach, and my comfort zone does not allow something I am not used to.


    However, postponing the first meal for later has multiple benefits, and one is that the intestines have a longer OPPORTUNITY to evacuate the mass from the intestines. πŸ’©

  • Stick to the foods that are naturally rich in WATER, therefore, fruits and vegetables, the meal plan suggestions are HERE.

  • Always have a bottle of water with you, preferably with a glass straw, and drink water in small sips throughout the day.

    At first, to a dehydrated body, this practice may seem like unwanted pressure, but as the body becomes more hydrated, the body will look for those small sips even more. This happens because a high level of dehydration quenches the feeling of thirst, and hydration allows the body to feel thirst.

  • Very important: stick to the proper food combining rules.
