Let’s start with the reasons that bring about personal benefits, and then move on to the reasons for global well-being.
Numerous studies have unambiguously shown that eating fruits and vegetables contributes to health, which is not very surprising considering that nature does not make mistakes. Consider an example of a car that runs on a particular fuel. If you pour the right fuel into the car, the car will be in good condition for a long time, and conversely, a wrong fuel will result in a shorter vehicle life-span.
It’s not that fruits and vegetables give energy. In fact, technically speaking, the truth is that all food consumes energy. Food provides fuel for making energy. All food that is brought into the body must be processed by the body and in this work the body must invest its energy.
Thus, digestion, assimilation and elimination of food require the consumption of the body’s energy. The point is effectiveness: we can utilize a greater net portion of fruit energy because it takes a smaller amount of energy to digest relative to other foods.
Our ideal foods are those which:
1) Provide the preferred bodily fuel – simple sugars,
2) Easily pass through digestive tract due to their high water and fiber content,
3) Have the smallest possible amount of toxic ingredients and metabolic byproducts that the body must get rid of.
These features correspond mostly to fruits, followed by young greens and other easily digestible vegetables.
The skin is the largest organ of the body that takes on the role of secondary elimination when the body is so saturated with toxins that the primary channels of elimination are unable to do the cleaning.
Food, including liquid foods – juices, alcohol, dairy products, etc., are the fastest way to bring toxins into the body. When more toxins are introduced than the body can get rid of through the primary channels of elimination, then the skin takes on the role of cleaning the body.
So if you want your skin to be worthy of its presentation role, then choose the foods that do not require the skin to be a channel of toxin elimination.
You can determine how much your gut content affects your brain function and mental health with a simple test. The more intestines are clogged and struggle with eliminating the matter within them, the less power to think there is and the feelings of depression and destructive behavior are more pronounced.
Conversely, with lighter and easier digestion, there is more brain power, and one generally feels in a better mood.
Eating fruits and vegetables requires planting of orchards and vegetable gardens, and this would be the most complementary thing we could do for the vital condition of our Planet. Planting trees has many benefits for the Planet, and here are just some:
1) Increased capacity to generate oxygen,
2) Increased purification of air from carbon dioxide and pollutants,
3) Providing shade in cities where concrete blocks raise the air temperature,
4) Reduction of soil erosion due to the soil-holding roots,
5) Creating more living space for various animal and plant species living on trees.
A fruit diet calls for a vertical cultivation of food that yields more calories per unit area of land than horizontal food production.
Eating fruits and vegetables excludes any aggression against other inhabitants of this Planet. Slaughterhouses are often massive and commit unnecessary and cruel attacks on innocent animal species. These will become a part of history that we will only speak of with a great shame.
Once you start a fruit diet, a whole new world of exciting flavors opens up that most people today unfortunately don’t know about.
Let’s start off by learning when fruit is really ripe. On a standard diet, people usually eat unripe fruit and thus cannot feel its real, truly ripe charms. But when you learn to appreciate that perfect moment when the fruit is ready to be eaten, and you only consume it at a mealtime without spoiling its perfect taste with other foods, then enjoying fruit takes on a new dimension.
